Please accept our warm Greetings from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS). AIIMS, UCMS, the Indian Academy of Geriatrics (IAG), and IAG – Delhi Chapter are pleased to announce the second International Congress on Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine 2012 (ICGGM 2012) for the advancement of health care systems for older people in India to be held at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, and University College of Medical Sciences, premier health care Institutes in the capital city of New Delhi. We are organizing the International Congress to sensitize and reorient medical practitioners and other health care partners in India and neighboring regions on the 25th – 29th February, 2012 with a commitment to improve old age care. The conference will focus on the themes of a) Sarcopenia and Frailty; b) Emergency care for older people; c) End of life care issues; d) Women's health issues in beyond the reproductive age; and e) Proteomics, biomarkers and nanobiogenomics in older persons. Besides these focus themes the conference would also have sessions on dementia, cognitive impairment, incontinence, falls, diabetes, andropause, developing a career and research in Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine. We seek your guidance, suggestions, blessings and help in organizing this event.
